OTM is based in Kyle. Buda is the next town north, about ten minutes from downtown to downtown, and it is the closest market I serve.
Websites get built remotely, so proximity is not really a technical advantage. What it does mean is that I understand this stretch of Hays County: what the growth has done to demand for trades, how much of the local customer base commutes to Austin, and how different a business on Main Street operates from one working the new subdivisions off the interstate.
Buda has a specific shape as a market. It grew fast, most of that growth is residential, and a large share of residents work north in Austin. That produces two distinct kinds of business: home services and trades chasing continuous residential demand, and local businesses competing for the attention of people who could just as easily spend their money on the way home from work in Austin.
